The Cancer Biology Training Consortium (CABTRAC) is a 501(c)(3) national non-profit membership organization. Established in 2005 to facilitate the exchange of ideas between individuals and institutions dedicated to the mission of training the next generation of cancer researchers, the consortium works closely with over 80 institutions within the United States as well as the NIH National Cancer Institute’s Cancer Training Branch.

Mission
Tackling cancer, which is a leading cause of mortality in the U.S., requires highly educated and trained researchers. The objective of the Cancer Biology Training Consortium is to serve as a forum for the development of innovative and multidisciplinary approaches to train a diverse, impactful cancer research workforce.

Vision
The Cancer Biology Training Consortium seeks to reduce death and suffering due to cancer through a collaborative network of organizations that share the goal of improving graduate, medical and post-doctoral training and educational programs in cancer biology.
