Training the next generation of cancer researchers

2014 Annual Retreat

2014 Cancer Biology Annual Retreat and Cancer Biology Training Consortium Annual Meeting
Friday through Sunday, October 17-19, 2014
The Historic Stanley Hotel, Estes Park, Colorado

The 2014 Cancer Biology Annual Retreat Online Registration is now open!

The premiere Cancer Biology Training conference in the United States, this Retreat brings together today’s and tomorrow’s leaders in cancer research. The Retreat provides a forum to discuss new training concepts and trends, information on developing training programs, as well as information on applying for and renewing grants. It is a great opportunity to network with T32 PIs, grant administrators, graduate advisors, and to speak openly with NCI staff. All those involved in Cancer Research Training are invited to attend.  This year’s invited guest speaker presentations include:

The Cancer Biology Workforce: A Vision for the Future
Arthur Gutierrez-Hartmann, MD – Director, Medical Scientist Training Program, University of Colorado

Cancer Researchers Today and Tomorrow: Precision Medicine in Prevention and Screening
Douglas R. Lowy, MD – Laboratory Chief, Center for Cancer Research, National Cancer Institute

The Future of Cancer Biology: One (likely incorrect) Viewpoint
Andrew Thorburn, PhD – Deputy Director, University of Colorado Cancer Center
