Exploiting Silver Nanoparticle (AgNP) Induced Proteotoxicity for Multiple Myeloma Treatment

In memoriam of Dr. Frank M. Torti, a generous gift from the Torti Family Charitable Fund has enable the creation of the Frank M. Torti, MD Poster Award Endowment Fund awarding $1000 to the top trainee scientific poster and $500 to the second place poster each year. As part of the 2025 CABTRAC Retreat, trainee attendees will be presenting their scientific posters at 7pm-9pm on Monday, October 27 at The Park RVA entertainment complex (an offsite location: 1407 Cummings Drive in Richmond, Virginia.)
All trainees registered for the 2025 Retreat are expected to present a poster.
Abstract submission rules:
- Abstracts are scored 1-6, with 1 being best. This number is added to the final judged score.
- Due date and time: Sunday, October 5 by 11:59pm PT.
- Abstract length: Content must be 400 words or less, not including title, presenter’s name or school name.
- Penalty: Abstracts over allowed word count will automatically receive a penalty of +1.
Please submit your abstract below by October 5.
Posters do not need to be created specifically for this event, but should include the following evaluation criteria:
- Data presented in a visually effectively manner
- Purpose of the study clearly stated
- Poster presented in a logical manner
- Conclusions stated clearly and supported by results
- Conclusions and future work tied back to the hypothesis

Tall (4’ wide x 4’ tall) double-sided poster display boards will be provided. There are no size restrictions (as long as your poster fits within the display area) or material requirements.
The event will be divided into two one-hour sessions to allow trainees the opportunity to view other posters. Poster placement is pre-assigned by odd and even numbers, with odd numbers presenting the first hour and even numbers the second hour.
Poster Awards will be announced Tuesday, October 28 at lunchtime.
