Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) Program

The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and Office of Graduate Studies offers undergraduate students the opportunity to conduct research across 17 areas of the biomedical sciences, including Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Cell Biology, Cancer Biology, Epidemiology, Genetics & Epigenetics, Microbiology & Immunology, Neuroscience, Pharmacology, Physiology, and Public Health Sciences. The program is designed for students interested in pursuing a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. Qualified applicants must be U.S. citizens and/or permanent residents and are typically current sophomores or juniors; other undergraduates may also be considered.
